Unplayed Steam Games and the End of Shooters? | The Cringecast 3
HyperX Cloud Pro Gaming Headset
How does the new HyperX Cloud Pro Gaming Headset from Kingston stack up against the competition?
HyperX Cloud Pro Gaming Headset Review
The video review (above) touches on all of the accessories included in the box and the features of the HyperX Cloud. Make sure to check that out for a full run down, but for those of you checking us out on the fly, let’s touch on the pros and cons of the new headset:
[heading]Pros[/heading]
Sleek Design | Aesthetically, the muted blacks and vibrant red create a look that’s cool and modern. The slim design also looks great while wearing because it doesn’t add multiple inches to your head radius like some sets tend to do.
Sturdy Build | This thing feels solid. The aluminum frame makes it feel as sturdy as it is lightweight, which offers some serious peace of mind when packing them for travel.
Audio Quality | Bottom line, these things just sound good. Boasting 53mm drivers, your lows, meds, highs and bass will let you hear every detail crystal clear
Comfort | The head strap is designed in a way that distributes the weight of the headset evenly, avoiding the development of pressure points over prolonged use. Plus the option to swap to memory foam ear cups ensures that you’ll be gaming happy.
Detachable Mic | I happen to really like this feature because I use my headset for a wide variety of things. Being able to remove the mic gives it a versatility that makes it just as viable for music, movies or editing as it is for gaming on PC or PS4!
[heading]Cons[/heading]
Quiet Audio | Just a minor gripe, but something to acknowledge none-the-less. Audio coming through the HyperX Cloud is quieter than other headsets I’ve used in the past. It’s not likely that you’ll ever run into a scenario where you wont be able to hear the content you’re consuming, but namely with editing, I found myself wishing it would go just a little bit higher.
Overall, we love HyperX Cloud Pro Gaming Headset. The quality of build and audio is unparalleled for the price you pay. Extreme attention to aesthetics and comfort really stand out, making it just as appealing to the eye as it is comfortable on the head.
The product easily warrants our recommendation and we would strongly urge you to give them serious consideration if in the market for a new headset — gaming is just better on the Cloud. The HyperX Cloud Pro Gaming Headset releases on April 30th for $99.99. For additional information or to preorder a set of your own, check out their page on Newegg.com.

In a fairly
surprising announcement, Dean Hall of Bohemia Interactive, the man behind DayZ,
announced that he will leave the studio by year’s end to pursue other projects.
He went into length comparing himself to a grenade and talking about how he’s a
bad person to have in a leadership role. Flimsy excuse if you ask me mostly for
someone looking to move on to another leadership role. No one knows what state
DayZ will be in by the time he departs, but given the company’s development
history, I’m sure it’ll be far from done. No doubt the game will be left in
capable hands, but considering now that people have money invested in the
Alpha, it seems like a very strange time to up and abandon what he created.
Personally I think it reflects poorly on him and he should stick around to
deliver on the original promise that he made. But hey, that’s just me. Let me
know your thoughts in the comments down below.
One feature most frequently requested for Forge of Empires,
Guild Vs Guild, has been released to the public today. Guilds can now
participate in large scale PvP as they battle for control over various
objectives to theoretically claim the entire continent. Any rewards obtained
through PvP will be awarded to all members of that particular guild on a daily
basis.
Nosgoth has gotten an official closed beta date, set for this
Thursday, February 27th. The free to play, team based, third person
online multiplayer game features some gorgeous visuals, deep class
customization, a wide variety of game modes and a skill based combat system.
Along with the closed beta, Square Enix has revealed a brand new game mode,
Siege, in which humans will be tasked with capturing specific locations while
vampires naturally hunt for blood. Anyone interested, make sure to register at
their main website.

EverQuest Next Landmark’s Alpha, DayZ, State of Decay and more! | The Daily XP January 31st
Hey guys, I’m Mark
McDonald and you’re watching the Daily XP for today, Friday January 31st, exclusively from mmoatk.com. We’ve
got some good stuff for you today as we’ll talk about some fixes coming to
DayZ, another nod towards a State of Decay MMO annnnd… EverQuest Next Landmark
Alpha lands today and we’ve got some hands on experience to tell you all about.
Let’s get this started.

Transcript:
First up, it’s not
huge news, but a new update has been released to DayZ’s experimental servers,
introducing a few technical changes and some changes to popular weapons and
common animations. More specifically, a number of building mechanics have been
addressed, new spawns have been placed and slight tweaks to loot regularities
have been made. For those unfamiliar with the process, Bohemia Interactive
implements new patches on select experimental servers before giving it a wider
release, so standard players can expect to see the changes soon.
At this point a State
of Decay MMO is one of those things where the only thing not confirming its
existence is an actual announcement from Microsoft. The rumor mill’s been a
buzz today after Patrick Wyatt, co-founder of ArenaNet and En Masse
Entertainment joined the staff of Undead Labs and released a statement saying,
“I can’t talk anything about what I’m working
on here at Undead Labs … yet. … But … I specialize in developing really big
multiplayer games. So I guess maybe I’ll be working on something like that, at
least as soon as I get one of the cool lab coats everyone around here has.” So there you go, cryptic and yet not really
so. Make sure to keep an eye out for any announcements. We’ll let you guys know
as soon as we hear more.
And finally, the big
news of the day comes courtesy of SOE with the announcement that EverQuest Next
Landmark’s Alpha is finally and officially live! Purchasers of either of the
top two tiers of the EQNL founder’s packs can get their start in the sandbox
world and begin giving feedback that is crucial to the future of the game. We
had a chance to try out the game yesterday and I wont go into it in-depth here, but I’m cautiously
optimistic for everything that the game has to offer. We were told that the
game is currently about 60% complete, the tools for creation need some refining
and there is a steep learning curve attached to it, but the potential for what
can be created is absolutely off the charts. Those who have come to love Minecraft
and are looking for sort of the next step in terms of creation and complexity
should definitely look into this. Kirk and I each tell about our experiences
with the alpha which you can find in a separate video, linked over my face and
below, so be sure to check that out if you want to know more!
And that’s everything
for today guys, thank you so much for watching. If you liked what you saw, make

Next Landmark or anything that I covered here make sure to stop by our website,
