Here at MMO Attack we love games. It’s what we do. We eat, drink, breathe, and sleep gaming. We’re always on the look out for the next big thing so we can give our audience the rundown. And, yes, also because we’d be playing them anyway. That’s why we put together our MMO Games list. Here you will find links to pages filled with some of the very best games out today. You’ll find games of all types too: MMOs, adventure games, strategy games and literally everything in between.

There are a number of reasons why we put together these pages. First, we want them to become a valuable resource for gamers to help them do what they do best–play. But we also wanted to signal that the the gaming industry is growing and changing. Most of the games you find here, whether they’re MMOs, MOBAs, Browser or console based–will be free-to-play and incredibly accessible. Afterall, you don’t need to drop $60 to gain entry to a decent game. In fact, the gaming industry is becoming more agile and inclusive for gamers all over the world.

And despite many of the games listed here being completely free-to-play, you’ll still find some of the most inventive and enthralling games on the market today. Take League of Angels II for example. League of Angels is a franchise that’s constantly pushing the boundaries of how a browser MMO can be defined, as well as what they’re capable of. You’ll see a similar approach to game design in Paladins, a hero shooter for PC and next gen consoles by Hi-Rez, the company behind SMITE. Paladins is a unique and fun entry to a genre that’s been blowing up since the release of Overwatch. And like League of Angels, it too is completely free to play.

Unturned

Unturned can best be described as a sandbox styled massively multiplayer apocalypse survival game. Unlike many other survival MMOs, where players turn on each other for sport, in Unturned you focus more on working with other players to survive the zombie infestation. In the game you will form a group and fortify locations, scavenge for supplies and try to live off the land while keeping everyone alive. Unturned is constantly taking player feedback into consideration, and much of the game is being built by what you have to say to the developer in making the game a better place.

While Unturned is still in the first public release of the game, new features will continue to be added constantly. Community feedback has helped, and will continue to drive the developer to adding new features and graphics, as is evident from the first prototype of the game, to the version that you see today.

Universal Monsters

Universal Monsters Online is a free-to-play MOBA browser game! In Universal Monsters you will play as your favorite characters from the Universal Monsters films including Frankenstein, Dracula, The Wolf Man and a multitude of other classic Monsters.

Undecima

Undecima is a new online browser multiplayer strategy game developed by a man named Mik for six years.  Undecima launched on the 1st of June with the game’s Open Beta mode.
In short, in Undecima, you start in a small village, develop it to a big prosperous town.  Along the way you will complete a lot of upgrades and researches, advance through levels, and on the final one, capture a super powerful artifact!  If you are able to hold the artifact for three days, victory will be yours!

Some other interesting features of the game are:
–       Simple but efficient combat mode (e.g. you can scout, attack, defend, counter-attack, intercept, dodge, and reinforce your friends and enemies).
–       Lack of annoying macro-management. You have plenty of upgrades and researches to do, but can control only one town.
–       All units from very basic to elite have a set of abilities and skills that makes them unique in the game and useful in particular situations.
–       Ability to play either PvP or PvE or mix it at the same time. For example theoretically, you can finish the game without attacking another player (not sure if it’s going to be fun though).
–       Plenty of rewards, such as weekly ranking, overall ranks, medals, achievements and more.
–       The game is addictive, but doesn’t take up all of your time (here I’m not sure whether it’s a good point or bad).

Uncharted Waters

Uncharted Waters Online is a free-to-play historic nautical MMORPG developed by Tecmo Koei. The game is set within its own romanticized version of the Age of Exploration and involves the player conquering a number of neutral nations in the name of their own chosen nation.  Uncharted Waters Online essentially lets players live, work and play during the 15th century while they re-write history.  Players will buy and build their own ships, allowing for a multitude of customization options, and can participate in PvP with dozens of players online. The game features 6 nationalities, 3 base classes, and several occupations as they chart their own path on and off the high seas.

The game is unique because it does away with the drudgery of many hack and slash games.  Players will channel their inner traveler to explore the world and take on their own unique path.  In Uncharted Waters Online there are hundred and thousands of places and items and people to discover, explore and meet.  There are countless hours of gameplay that will keep you coming back again and again.

[/review]Tribes: Ascend is a multi-player first person shooter game that is part of the Tribes franchise. The game was developed by Hi-Rez Studios for the PC. The game features a unique “skiing” feature that involves using your characters Jetpack along with floating across the ground to bring a truly one of a kind fighting experience to the game.

Tribes: Ascend features a class-based loadout system which allows each player to specify what type of armor they have, along with the types of items and weapons they carry. The game features vehicular battles as well as in-air battles using the jetpacks. Like many first person shooter titles, Tribes: Ascend has several game modes and maps as well as a ranking system with unique rank titles and insignia.

Tribal Wars 2 is the latest iteration of the ever-popular MMORTS game, Tribal Wars. Tribal Wars 2 takes what InnoGames had ‘innovated’ in the first version of its game, and adds on new features, new buildings, new strategies, and of course, a whole new look and feel to the game.

Tribal Wars 2 is a free online strategy game that is set in a medieval universe. You start the game as a ruler of a castle in a heavily warn-torn part of the world. Your goal is to not only defend your kingdom from the onslaught of enemies, but to be ever-expanding so that you too can become a supreme leader of the land, and forge your name in the history books.

Like many MMORTS games of its kind, Tribal Wars 2 is a battle strategy / castle management game. You will compete directly in your browser in a real-time PvP environment while upgrading your city, building up your troops, making sure your people are happy and willing to die for you, and prove your military might on the battlefield. InnoGames is well-known in this space, with titles behind them including: The West, Grepolis, Forge of Empires, and of course, the original Tribal Wars.

Tribal Wars, the original, began its existance back in 2003. Since then it has reached over 50 million registered users, and allowed the original creators to found InnoGames and its many titles since then. Tribal Wars 2 began its closed beta in June of 2014.

Tribal Wars is a strategy browser-based game developed and published by Innogames. With an open PvP and a unique hero system, this game will keep players entertained for hours. Each individual starts with a simple village that must be built into a powerful city.

Tribal Wars places a strong emphasis on teamwork which is extremely important in order to survive attacks from other players. Early in the game, players need to worry about expanding their resources collection progress, resources which can later be used for raising new buildings and training an army.

Combat is based on attacking neighboring villages to gain resources or to conquer them. This is why Tribal Wars promotes player interaction and teamwork. Players can group themselves for protection and guidance, raising their chances to resist coordinated attacks against their cities.

In the early stages of the game, the player will be able to hire a paladin. This ?hero? will give boosts in certain areas such as offensive power or city defense. These heroes can equip items found in raids which further boost their abilities.

As a browser game Tribal Wars doesn?t offer mind blowing animations of troops looting villages or fighting enemy units. However, with easy to learn mechanics, the game is quite enjoyable.

Trials of Ascension

Trials of Ascension (ToA) is a sandbox MMORPG currently under development by Forged Chaos. Set in the fantasy world of TerVarus, Trials of Ascension is geared to provide players with hundreds of hours of adventure.

Trials of Ascension will feature a skill system, meaning players will not be limited to classes and instead turn their character into their own creation. The crafting system is highlighted by an “Innovations” feature that gives your avatar a chance to receive an “innovation” only available to your character, allowing you to enhance or create new items, skills, or abilities. There will also be player-made settlements and kingdoms, as well as many different types of structures available for crafting. In PvP, ToA will focus on open world PvP and the possibility of perma-death.

As of December 18th, 2014, Jagex plans on closing down Transformers Universe.
