Back when it was originally released, I heard many people say that RIFT would be the game that finally killed World of Warcraft. Like so many before it, the title failed to do so, in spite of the interesting features it brought to the table. Then, a few months ago, it went free to play. This week, I figured it couldn’t hurt to write up a long-overdue review.

Blizzard is officially hitting the reset button on the planned MMORPG, Project Titan. The project aimed to be the companies’ follow-up to the widely successful World of Warcraft. Blizzard still hopes plans will pan out, but it will now be with a core group of 30 developers, rather than the hundred individuals previously working on the project. The Diablo 3 community site has acquired a new feature for the game that has been taken from World of Warcraft. Players are now able to get a character profile in order to check stats, track your progress, and show off your character to your friends. Battle.net also mentioned that as the game evolves they will be adding more functionality to the character profiles but as of right now you are able to get an entire breakdown of gear, stats, and skills, check how far you have progressed within your game or you can check how many monsters you have slayed.
Blizzard announced today that their fourth expansion for the most successful subscription-based MMORPG of all time, World of Warcraft, will be available in-stores and online beginning September 25th, 2012. The players will be able to step foot on the shores of the long lost continent of Pandaria and journey through the mysterious lands to uncover ancient secrecies.
On October 10th, 2012, Blizzard intends to release a 352-page hardcover book called, The Art of Blizzard. The book will collect over 700 pieces of art from the games that have defined them as who they are, StarCraft, World of Warcraft and Diablo.
