AirMech is now available on Steam! Beta keys have been distributed to all Alpha testers, and new players can participate in the Steam beta by purchasing a special bundle. Over 250,000 unique players have signed up to play AirMech worldwide, and this week a number of new servers have been brought online across to globe to improve service for everyone.
Sony Online Entertainment and the team over at Vanguard have posted a new blog on the official site laying out some of the details for the upcoming F2P-hybrid subscription model of the game. The biggest thing to note in the news is the announcement that the new version will officially kick off on August 14th.

EA announced a couple days ago that the Sci-Fi MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, SWTOR , will be joining the Free to Play games market this coming November. From the press release it appears that EA plans to offer two different options for players, the base ?Free? version and then a Subscription option.
