Heroes of Newerth is looking to distinguish itself in the already-crowded multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre. But now, with Dota 2 just itching to be released into the MOBA free-to-play slugfest, Heroes of Newerth is taking the plunge and making all of its heroes free-to-own as of July 20th.

SMITE – New God Bakasura Revealed
It’s been a little while since Guan Yu made his debut in Hi-Rez Studios upcoming free-to-play MOBA, SMITE, but it looks like another new god is ready to enter the battlefield and the folks at Hi-Rez Studios have prepared a short introductory video to show him off to you. Bakasura, the Great Devourer, was a hindu demon asura with quite an appetite.
The War Z – Just announced by Arktos Entertainment and Hammerpoint Interactive
Arktos Entertainment Group and Hammerpoint Interactive, a new independent game development studio located in Los Angeles, Calif., are finally lifting the veil and announcing their debut title, The War Z (TWZ). A session-based, massively multiplayer online game (MMO), The War Z is inspired by all things zombie and is set in a true post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested world where other players can prove to be a greater threat than the undead hordes that populate the land. The game is slated for release in fall 2012 for the Windows PC platform.
