Today, Black Gold Online unveiled a mage class that shows
off its Steampunk side.  The Conjurer,
who fuses steam technology with the power of dark magic, draws their power from
beyond the grave.  This new long to mid
range mage class uses their enigmatic sorcery to cast powerful spirit spells
and provides a class for those who like to sit back, cast and destroy.  The Conjurer is ideal for those who like to
support the team with CC and do their fair share of DPS, while sitting back and
taking in the view.  Just kidding, you
don’t have time to admire when your blasting the heck out of cheesy Avril
Lavigne trailers.  Remember, the alpha
test for Black Gold Online will begin on March 20th, so make sure to register
on their site to get your key.

The Infinite Crisis Open Beta date has been announced, and with
it comes a slew, if that’s the right word, a slew of new champions.  So, let’s get to the details.  Warner Bros, and Turbine’s MOBA will start
its open beta on Friday, March 14th.  On
that date the Green Arrow, Aquaman and Mecha Superman will be released into the
game.   Mecha Superman is a massive
enforcer, who will use his metal tonnage to fissure the ground, and create
earthquakes while stunning enemies. 
Green Arrow is a DPS marksman, armed with a bow and quiver of
specialized arrows, while Aquaman is a strong duelist who wields a mighty
trident in combat.  His only enemy?  A six packs plastic rings.  Along with the new heroes, the Open beta will
include the new tri-lane map, Gotham Divided.

Lastly, World of Tanks is planning for a huge year in 2014,
and with the release of today’s trailer, they are planning on revealing their
major plans throughout the year with a new series of developer diaries.  The plans for the year include delivering a
completely new combat experience by overhauling the look and feel of the
game.  Technical enhancements like
dynamic suspension, damageable parts, a graphics render revamping and new meta
game functionality are all part of the new experience.  Each feature will be fully described through
a dev diary throughout the year and implemented shortly thereafter.

The future of Asheron’s call is in the hands of you, the
players as Turbine has announced that the game will be entering a ‘maintenance
mode’ that will see the last remaining members of the team working solely on
bug fixed, balance problems and technical support.  Oh, well that sounds great, Kirk, why are you
saying the future is in our hands.  Yes,
it’s great that they are still offering a little support on the game, but they
will be no longer offering any content updates. 
And that my friends, is where you can come in.  Turbine is exploring the idea of player owned
servers, with the abilities for the players to add their own new features, and
to expand on current content.  I’m
thinking this is something along the lines of Project 1999 with EverQuest,
where a group of fans can continue the legacy of the game.  Will it happen?  The choice is yours!

The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot finally enters its open beta
phase.  Closed beta events have been
going on for months now, with open houses and the likes, so I’m assuming anyone
who has wanted to play the game, has had at least some time to do that.  But nevertheless, today marks the first
opportunity for unlimited access, without level and time restrictions that were
in place in previous events.  The Mighty
Quest for Epic Loot is an interested game where players design their own castle
that others will try to complete for mighty loot, no, epic quest, no .. oh
whatever.  You try to conquer your
buddies castle, enough said.

We told you yesterday that Dean Rocket Hall, the creator of
the DayZ mod, would be leaving Bohemia Interactive and the DayZ Standalone
later this year.  Well, that still means
he’s got a few months on the job to make the standalone awesome as fuck.  The latest Devblog shows a ton of new
features, and points out what the team is working on.  The coolest thing that I recall from the 17
minute long video is the hunting and bow and arrow features.  They are aiming to make hunting more viable,
with being able to collect meat and actually survive while in the forrests, and
also make the use of bows more realistic, with flight graphics, arrows sticking
out of your enemies once hit and more. 
The video is long, yes, but worth it for any DayZ fans like myself.

So Brad McQuaid first began teasing his new MMO in December
last year, and released the Kickstarter for Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen in
January.  Despite the hugely positive
response he’s had thus far, the campaign is still very short of its lofty goal
of $800,000.  As we stand today, 9 days
until the end of the campaign, they are not even at the halfway point, but Brad
has let supporters know that whether or not the Kickstarter is successful, the
game will be built.  After the
Kickstarter his team will set up a website with ways to pledge and re-pledge
and are looking for other investors to help take the project to completion. 

It will be a difficult task to follow up the release of
Superman, but Star Sapphire might just be the right champion to do it.  After Superman’s release last month in Infinite
Crisis, Star Sapphire, the champion of love, will join the ranks as a deadly
blaster later this month.  She will be a
long-range damage dealer with the ability to push lanes and take down
objectives, while having the ability to summon her Predator, which is a pink
alien-like creature, who has strong auto-attack and the ability to root.  Star Sapphire will be available in-game on
February 26th.

Lastly, Aeria Games today announced the release of the first
major content update for its free to play fantasy MMORPG, Aura Kingdom.  With the most successful launch in the company’s
history, the new patch hopes to attract new players with a brand new class, a
new raid, and new end-game dungeon content. 
The new Brawler class brings the game up to 9 playable classes.  The brawler is a melee specialist, with a
variety of deadly blows using his sharp claw-like weaponry that call upon the powers
of the earth and the sky.

The Hearthstone US Open Beta begins today as one of the most
highly sought after closed beta events in history comes to an end.  How can I make this claim?  Well, the over $134,000 made from selling
Hearthstone closed beta keys on eBay helps. 
So yes, beginning today, anyone in the US can sign up for and play highly
anticipated trading card game from Blizzard. 
A warning has been issued because of the anticipated influx of new players.  It is also helpful to note that there will be
no more wipes, so players are free to amass as many new cards as possibly,
without fear of losing them.  Have fun!

The latest champion to join Infinite Crisis is coming, and
it’s none other than Superman.  Now, I can’t’
be the only one surprised that Superman wasn’t in the original starting
line-up, but I guess they had to make you anticipate something.  In Infinite Crisis Superman will excel at
initiating and finishing team fights. 
His skills include him spitting ice into your eyes to slow you down, and
shooting lasers from your eyes to deal damage and knock the enemy back.  These are two skills that I had no idea
Superman had, but of course, he is Superman so, anything is possible.

The next big patch for Age of Wushu is due out next month
and Snail Games has released a small preview on their site to get players
excited about the new update.  So what
should we expect?  Well, the new Dragon
and Tiger Tournament will feature a series of one-on-one duels, with the
winners receive manuals, skills and pills. 
There’s also the fourth internal skill unlock, which should give you
more edge in battle, and additional school lessons.  I’m sure there’s more, but the teaser only
gave us so much!
