Here at MMO Attack we love games. It’s what we do. We eat, drink, breathe, and sleep gaming. We’re always on the look out for the next big thing so we can give our audience the rundown. And, yes, also because we’d be playing them anyway. That’s why we put together our MMO Games list. Here you will find links to pages filled with some of the very best games out today. You’ll find games of all types too: MMOs, adventure games, strategy games and literally everything in between.

There are a number of reasons why we put together these pages. First, we want them to become a valuable resource for gamers to help them do what they do best–play. But we also wanted to signal that the the gaming industry is growing and changing. Most of the games you find here, whether they’re MMOs, MOBAs, Browser or console based–will be free-to-play and incredibly accessible. Afterall, you don’t need to drop $60 to gain entry to a decent game. In fact, the gaming industry is becoming more agile and inclusive for gamers all over the world.

And despite many of the games listed here being completely free-to-play, you’ll still find some of the most inventive and enthralling games on the market today. Take League of Angels II for example. League of Angels is a franchise that’s constantly pushing the boundaries of how a browser MMO can be defined, as well as what they’re capable of. You’ll see a similar approach to game design in Paladins, a hero shooter for PC and next gen consoles by Hi-Rez, the company behind SMITE. Paladins is a unique and fun entry to a genre that’s been blowing up since the release of Overwatch. And like League of Angels, it too is completely free to play.

Golden Age

Golden Age is a 2D, browser-based strategy MMO based on the story of the Knights Templar in medieval Europe. Choose to play as a Knight Templar, a member of the Ibero Alliance, or join the Rhine Commerce Guild. Build your fortress, battle other players, and seek victory!

Golden Age is a browser based side scrolling RPG-style MMO. Following Molay?s documented outrage at baseless arrests of the Knights Templar in 1307 A.D., Golden Ageintroduces a fellow knight said to have received a map to a lost continent from Molay himself. At Molay?s request, the knight secretly leads 400 Knights Templar to safety in these unknown lands.

Players enter the tumultuous Golden Age setting shortly following the Templars? discovery and colonization of the mysterious treasure-filled region, and must defend their developing fortresses from oncoming waves of greedy plunderers. Players will take their roles in Golden Age as one of three distinct classes of citizens.

Godfather Five Families

The Godfather Five Families is a browser based City manager game with a mafia theme.  The goal is to build up a criminal empire that you?ll use to attack other players, build up your neighborhood, train troops like arsonists and hitmen, and steadily improve your own personal Estate.  It?s 1935: ten years before the events of The Godfather film. New York?s Five Families are engaged in an all-out war for supremacy.  The war is heating up and smaller gangs are under pressure to join one of the Families or die.  Your father?s brutal injury leaves him unable to lead your family ? leaving it up to you.  You must take charge and keep your family?s criminal organization alive.

In addition to your own neighborhood you can take control of different areas of New York, but you?ll constantly be going up against other families to do so.  Once you have control of an area it will show your family crest, letting everyone know who?s in charge.  Higher level players will be given incentives to duke it out with players of the same or higher experience level allowing you to team up with other players to take control of the city.

Goat MMO Simulator

From the sick and demented minds of the people who brought you Goat Simulator, comes the latest in messed up gaming, Goat MMO Simulator. Basically Goat MMO Simulator is a free expansion, Update 1.2, to the original game which will feature the same zany goat action, in an MMO world.

The trailer and press release make the game seem like they are sort of ripping on World of Warcraft, with having a level cap of 101, among other things. The game, of course, doesn’t take itself too seriously with only minimal amount of quests and not a ton of content, at least at first. There are dinosaurs and mermaids for good measure though, so there’s at least that to look forward to.

Goat Simulator itself has been very successful with over 1.1 million copies sold on PC and over 500,000 on Mobile.

Gloria Victis

Gloria Victis is a Fantasy medieval MMORPG currently under development by Black Eye Games. The developer’s focus with Gloria Victis is utter realism, meaning all game mechanics are modeled after real life. The game will feature non target-based combat, meaning players will have to manually aim and time their attacks. There will be a dynamic weather system with seasonal changes. Gloria Victis will introduce players to a rich crafting system with over 10 different professions.

If you’re a fan of lore, there will be over 2000 multi-pathed and non-linear quests spread across more than 16 different zones, allowing players to immerse themselves entirely. The quests and missions place the player in moral dilemmas, with each decision changing how the game progresses (including changes in NPC attitudes toward you).

There will be a strong sandbox PvP element to Gloria Victis, with everything from good ol’ backwoods tussles to epic castle sieges and even knight tournaments. The classless character system will allow players to build and customize their avatar to their own preferences and play-styles, ultimately putting it to the test against other players throughout the world.

Ghost Recon Phantoms is the latest free-to-play PC title in the Tom Clancy universe from Ubisoft. In Ghost Recon Phantoms you will become an elite member of the Ghost outfit and use an array of cutting-edge weapons and technology to help your squad dominate the enemy in a futuristic environment.

Many may remember this F2P Tom Clancy shooter under its beta name, Ghost Recon Online. This third-person shooter moved out of open beta for a worldwide release on Steam and PC in April of 2014, with Ubisoft announcing that the name change is due to the significant change the shooter underwent through beta.

Ghost Recon Phantoms allows you to choose from three classes: Assault, Support or Recon, each with completely different play-styles to match the way you like to play. The game is based on its 16-player team-fights, in which you and your fellow Ghosts must work together withing your squads to take out the opponent. That being said, this game places a huge emphasis on team-play, and the teams who work together are generally the ones who end up on top.

Ghost Recon Online is Ubisoft’s first installment in the Tom Clancy series to be designed specifically for the PC and the free to play market.  GRO offers a full fledged first person shooter game with all the bells and whistles to free to play gamers.

The game boasts two game modes, four maps and three classes at its launch.  But Ubisoft has promised to deliver new content on a regular basis to eventually make this game one of the most coveted shooters around.  Already is 8v8 cover-based combat works extremely well thanks to the extremely well thought out classes; Recon, Assault and Specialist.

Ghost Recon Online is less like a fast-faced slaughterfest that you’d find in a Call of Duty game, and more on the slow and suspenseful side which accounts for a great mix of strategy and cunning as you take on the enemies in a conquest matches. 

This game is a must for anyone who plays shooter games.  The game is very well polished and we can expect many major updates to make this game an invaluable addition to your collection.

E-Sport is a part of the setting, and players have the ability to choose to enact different roles within the e-sport universe, such as star player, tournament planner, club head, trainer, recruiter, and more.

Game of Thrones: Ascent

Game of Thrones Ascent is a MMO Real Time Strategy game that is published and developed by Disruptor Beam.  The game is an adaptation of the popular novel, and subsequent HBO television series, by George R. R. Martin.  The game is a social network game that features alliance building, treachery, marriages, murders and the constant struggle between the houses in Westeros.  Although players don’t need to have read the books or watch the television series, having been a fan of either definitely helps entrench yourself in the game.

In the game you will take control of the head of a minor house in Westeros.  You will engage in many different story choices that affect aspects of the game like how characters and houses interact with each other.  The game will unite both story and strategy and players claim their birthright and choose white great house they will swear allegiance to.  Game of Thrones Ascent requires no download and can be played in any browser, whether at work, at home, or on the road.

Galaxy Online II

Galaxy Online II is the follow up to the sequel to Galaxy Online. That much is obvious. It is your classic sci-fi / space themed browser game where you will piece together your galactic empire one planet at a time. You begin in a small sheltered solar system that is your home, and you will use this starting area to build up enough resources and ships to where you feel you are comfortable to take on enemies.

Don’t mistake this for any regular browser-based RTS game though, Galaxy Online II offers a much more robust game-play with many intricacies that you don’t normally see in the genre. Another unique element to the game is being able to create your own unique vessels.

[/review]Freesky Online 2 is a fantastic free Browser-Based strategy online game that is based on battles in the sky between fierce and powerful airships. Freesky Online 2 is very similar to many other empire building games, but what sets it apart are its advanced graphical interface and unique graphics. The game has an emphasis on Airships, which of course lends itself to some interesting above ground battles against your opponents.

At the start, players choose between one of the warring nations and are taken to your small starting city. Beginning the resource harvesting right from the start is a great way to get ahead in the game. There is a short tutorial to get you acquainted with some of the aspects of the game, and I do recommend taking advantage of that tutorial. Once you’ve got the hang of your base you will begin to complete quest-lines and building up of your base and troops.

FreeSky Online 2 is definitely a time consuming affair, as you’ll want to continuously check on your small town to make sure that everything is up and running. Completing quests are the best way to build up your city and to gather important resources on your way to glory.
