Here at MMO Attack we love games. It’s what we do. We eat, drink, breathe, and sleep gaming. We’re always on the look out for the next big thing so we can give our audience the rundown. And, yes, also because we’d be playing them anyway. That’s why we put together our MMO Games list. Here you will find links to pages filled with some of the very best games out today. You’ll find games of all types too: MMOs, adventure games, strategy games and literally everything in between.

There are a number of reasons why we put together these pages. First, we want them to become a valuable resource for gamers to help them do what they do best–play. But we also wanted to signal that the the gaming industry is growing and changing. Most of the games you find here, whether they’re MMOs, MOBAs, Browser or console based–will be free-to-play and incredibly accessible. Afterall, you don’t need to drop $60 to gain entry to a decent game. In fact, the gaming industry is becoming more agile and inclusive for gamers all over the world.

And despite many of the games listed here being completely free-to-play, you’ll still find some of the most inventive and enthralling games on the market today. Take League of Angels II for example. League of Angels is a franchise that’s constantly pushing the boundaries of how a browser MMO can be defined, as well as what they’re capable of. You’ll see a similar approach to game design in Paladins, a hero shooter for PC and next gen consoles by Hi-Rez, the company behind SMITE. Paladins is a unique and fun entry to a genre that’s been blowing up since the release of Overwatch. And like League of Angels, it too is completely free to play.

[/review]Sevencore is a standout, story-driven free MMORPG. The Sevencore is a secret organization that consists of brave warriors who are struggling against their own destiny. (Sounds epic right?)

The game is starting off with three distinct races, the Sion, Nuuk, and Einher. The Sion race is a scientifically-advanced civilization that based on the theory of pragmatism. Then you have the Nuuk which are a more nature-loving race who likes to avoid conflict as much as possible (that is until now of course).
The Einher race revolves around living on the sea and thus have developed an incredible strength while fighting the relentless winds and waves of the sea. Oh and apparently they like to pillage coastal villages, go figure.

The three classes suit the game well for now, and you can choose from being a mighty warrior, a gunner, or magician (they couldn’t come up with a better name?).

With plenty of mounts, politics, combat, questing, achievements and a plethora of professions, Sevencore should keep you plenty entertained for awhile. There is also a turn system that rewards players for logging in and redeeming their turns with a variety of prizes, so check it out!

[/review]Seven Seas Saga is a browser-based Pirate MMORPG that allows players to build their own pirate or trader ship and conquer the Seas with trading, pirate fights, and looting pirate treasure. Seven Seas Saga features PvP among captains and ships, along with ship and crew development, firing, boarding and ramming battles and digging for treasure across the mighty seas.

The game is set in Medieval Europe, and lets players embark on a voyage along the treacherous seas of the Mediterranean. You will conduct trade, battle deadly buccaneer ships and hunt for hidden treasures. The game combines many RPG elements along with the ever popular Pirate theme to bring this RPG-ship building combo to gamers.

Seldon Crisis is a completely player-driven MMO. The game’s economy, politics and even the infrastructure will be in the hands of the players who are not bound by preset paths and forced linear progression. Players can earn money and increase their character level by crafting and trading goods between the many sectors of the galaxy and its stations, hunting pirates and collecting loot and bounty, or fighting other players for their equipment and cargo.

In Seldon Crisis, players also will discover an extensive variety of missions, such as combat, escort, courier and exploration, with various combinations of each. Factions in each sector – hostile, friendly or neutral – offer work for adventurous captains while the vast depths of space offer hidden missions and uncharted territories to discover.

Seldon Crisis takes full advantage of an immense and beautiful galaxy where thousands of star systems, planets, moons, nebulas, wormholes and asteroid fields are waiting to be explored and exploited, with each sector of the universe offering a unique variety of resources and procedurally generated content.

Scarlet Legacy – Defunct

Scarlet Legacy is a 3D fantasy MMORPG with action oriented combat, and stylish attack animations. Chose from specialized fighting styles and help rescue Princess Scarlet from the evil forces! Scarlet Legacy is a free-to-play game and is set in a mythical world on the brink of disaster.

The creatures from the Demon Realm have surfaced, wreaking havoc in the local villages and the half celestial Princess Scarlet is now missing. Scarlet Blade

Scarlet Blade is an action/fantasy MMORPG that is being billed as a ‘mature MMORPG’. What that means, only time will tell, but from what we can see from the screenshots and videos, mature means racy. In the game players will be pit against mysterious invaders called the Narak, which have nearly wiped out all of the human race as they look to take control of Earth. The only ones who can save mankind and avenge the death of their people are the Arkana, which are an elite group of genetically engineered humanoid females who are pretty much killing machines.

The game will feature an in-depth storyline with epic PvP clashes, mechanical mayhem and breathtaking landscapes. As will all Aeria Games titles, the game will be free to download and play. Beta sign-ups are available now at the Scarlet Blade website. So sign up today to get in on the action!

Salem

Salem is an open world sandbox MMORPG currently under development by Seatribe and Paradox Interactive. Similar to Minecraft, Salem will greatly emphasize the importance of survival, resource gathering and crafting. Take on the role of a trailblazing colonist as you build your town in the wilds of pre-colonial New England.

Salem will feature a full-rights looting system as well as permadeath in its PvP system. This means that fighting for survival will be that much more intense. If you’re a fan of PvP and player freedom, Salem is a game you will not want to miss.

S4 League

S4 League has been released in Korea since 2007 but has recently been brought to North American and Europe by the publisher Alaplaya.  S4 League of a third person shooter game that can be tweaked by a few settings to make it work like a first person shooter with some great FPS action.  

There are a variety of game modes, which you’ve come to expect in most MMOFPS games, like Death Match and Capture the Flag, which they call Touch Down.  In each game there is up to 12 players that battle it out for victory.  The coolest part of S4 League if that players have the opportunity to use the environment to their advantage.  What does that mean?  Well, you are able to perform various acrobatic acts across the map, such as running along and up walls and jumping around from various areas through the air.

The game has a great tutorial system when purchasing new weapons.  Basically there is a small licensing test that you have to pass before you can get the weapon.  The tests are just short tutorials that teach you the basics of the weapon.  These tutorials allow you to use the weapon for free for a few hours, and then you have the option to purchase it if it’s a weapon you enjoyed.

Rust

Rust is a survival MMORPG currently under development by Facepunch Studios. It takes place in an open world, sandbox, environment where players are free to explore, gather resources, and build where they please. The purpose of the game is simple, survive. Survive in an environment where EVERYTHING will kill you.

In Rust, survival is highly dependent on resource gathering. This can be done by cutting down trees or mining for minerals. Once the resources have been gathered, players are able to craft a multitude of diverse items from hatchets to weapons, and even walls or doors. Use these to hunt wolves, bears, and wildlife, and build your own shelter to keep you safe from the elements.

Be careful… There are other players looking to survive as well! Rust will feature a full-rights loot system, meaning players can loot your dead bones.

Rushwar

Rushwar is a great city building game that puts you in control of your own ancient city with a medieval style theme. The basic goals are to build structures for your citizens and other buildings that enable you to develop an army. Rushwar features real time construction and military simulation. The game features various different buildings, heroes, and items to play with. Build your own unique city suited to your needs, make alliances with other players in the league and expand your kingdom. Animated battle reports, NPC and PVP battle system, Guild system.

There are wilds like, Basins, Quarry, Plains & Precipices waiting for you to conquer them. A detailed quest guide system, which helps players grow and guides them on how to proceed in the game. Map glide, is a unique system which helps the players scroll the map by pulling on the map page. The game has easy to understand interface and the game graphics are top notch.

Rumble Fighter is an interesting take on a Fighting MMORPG. The game features really cool cartoony graphics and plays a lot like a game of Super Smash Brothers. In fact it’s best described as a Super Smash Bros. game with lots of online and MMO elements.

Rumble Fighter takes a rather simple concept, which is beating each other senseless in awesome multi-player brawls. That’s it, review over! No, but the fact is there are a ton of elements that keep you hooked to the game, and the fact that it is quite different from a normal MMO makes this game definitely worth trying. In our opinion it’s not a game that you will sit at for hours grinding it out like a normal MMORPG, but one that you take in small doses. Play a few rounds when you’re bored, more of a bit-sized experience if you will.

The game is solely focused on the PvP experience, which makes it more like an FPS, whereas you aren’t going to be bothered with a bunch of quest dialogues and all that humbo jumbo, a perfect game for someone with only a few moments to spare. The concept is fairly simple, join a room and beat each other to a pulp. There are a number of fighting options and modes and super powers that mix up the game and make it one you’ll want to come back to again and again.

Royal Quest

Royal Quest is a Fantasy MMO from Katauri Interactive and 1C Online Games Ltd. This game comes straight to you from the creators of the Space Rangers and King’s Bounty franchise. While the game recently launched in the US on August 6th of this year, it wouldn’t be fair to call this a “new” game per say. Actually, the game was originally released in Russia in 2012 and after two years, has finally made its way to American shores.

Royal quest is not a game that will blow your socks off with big budget production values nor is it a game that even attempts to distinguish itself from the 100s of other MMORPGs already released within this crowded genre, but what it does, it does well.

You start the game as you do in most MMORPGs – creating a character. There’s only one race available (humans), but you can pick your gender. There are 4 base classes to choose from at character creation – warriors, archers, mages, and rogues. While that may not sound like much, the four immediately available classes are only archtypes. At level 20, players can chose one of two available advanced classes.

Romadoria is a strategy based browser MMORPG relating to one of the most exciting times in history, the Roman Empire.  It is an empire building game that has you begin with a single colony that you must build up to becoming an empire of your own.  Construct new buildings, research new technologies and build up your army to take on the thousands of other players in the Romadoria universe.

There are a lot of things that go into building your legion.  You need buildings that can create food for them, you’ll need to build barracks that can create lead sling bullets and you’ll need forts that act as a headquarters.  You will research different technologies depending on what types of troops you will use.  The battles are exciting  and much better than many online strategy games on the market.  You will actually see individual units maneuvering around the tactical map, much like a chessboard.

Romadoria captures the flavor of the Roman Empire building and fighting games of old, but adds in the exciting elements of being part of a robust community filled with sinister plots, loyal allies and just about every type of person in-between. Come, see and conquer Romadoria. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

Rohan: Blood Feud

Rohan: Blood Feud is a 3D Fantasy MMORPG with great graphics, music and PVP oriented gameplay. Choose from seven races and explore the lush world of Rohan. Form guilds and battle for control of towns and participate in open PvP after level 30. Buy mounts, train pets, and play a fishing or card minigame in this feature rich free to play MMORPG.

Rohan: Blood Feud may not be the most innovative game out there but it manages to take tried and true MMORPG elements and blend them into one of the best free to play games available. The graphics and music are top notch and the game is feature packed.

Besides a huge world to explore, Rohan has a wide variety of PvP options. Oddly, your race and class choices are intertwined in Rohan, each race represents a distinct class. This does limit variety but each class has a huge skill tree with multiple branches which leads to a number of specializations per class.

RODE

RODE is an exciting new fantasy free MMORPG that revolves around epic dragon adventures. RODE, which is an acronym for “Rise of Dragonian Era”, is a MMORPG filled with mystical creatures, and a plethora of character races to choose from.

In this “Dragonian Era”, dragons possess the true power of the land. The free MMORPG place in a world that is split between two lord dragons, Firean (who represents the west) and Azurian (who represents the east).

The coolest (and most efficient) form of travel in RODE Online is of course on dragons. Not only can you travel with your dragon companion, but mid-air aerial dragon-to-dragon combat cant take place where you must control your fire-breathing dragon to victory while riding his back thousands of feet in the air.
