Heroes of Newerth is looking to distinguish itself in the already-crowded multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre. To compete with the huge and wildly-popular titles such as League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth went free-to-play last year. But now, with Dota 2 just itching to be released into the MOBA free-to-play slugfest, Heroes of Newerth is taking the plunge and making all of its heroes free-to-own as of July 20th.
Major League Gaming has announced the Online Qualifiers today for the opening League of Legends Summer Arena. They begin on July 10th when players begin competing in two regional qualifiers in North America and Europe.
