Heva Clonia Online, the free to play 3D fantasy MMO from
OGPlanet has announced the release of Episode 2, which is the first episode
released, since episode 1.  That should
be fairly obvious.  Umm .. Episode 2 is
one of the biggest in the games history, and brings an array of new features
including regions, dungeons and an increase in the level cap.  In additional, HCO will be hosting an event
to celebrate the release, with tons of prizes to be won.  Check those out in-game now!

Jagex today released the first trailer for the upcoming free
to play MMO, Transformers Universe. 
Originally labeled as a browser MMO, Jagex has since re-branded it as a
MOTA, Massive Online Tactical Action Game, which is so TFC IYKWIM.  So speaking of the trailer .. umm .. it was
awful, sorry, the music was terrible!  It
was like .. a shitty Limp Bizkit. 
Actually I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Limp Bizkit.  The gameplay looked interesting enough, It
looks like it’s going to be a MOBA type game, with cars of course.  Cars and a semi-truck.  I dunno, check it out for yourself.

And lastly, Albion Online, the medieval sandbox MMO, which
is being advertised as the first true cross-platform MMO, released a video
demonstration yesterday showing off the game being run on different systems at
the same time.  The video shows the same
game running on Windows, Mac, iOS and Android at the same time, as in, you move
the character in one, it shows moving on all screens.  The technology looks like it’s there, I
haven’t seen anything like it yet.  I
mean, I’ve played games that can be played on different platforms, but not all
at once.  Pretty cool stuff.

Alright, so i’ll start off with the most interesting story
of the day.  The closed beta date for
Bless Online has finally been announced.
On the Bless Media Event a host of information was released, which of
course includes the beta date, as well as a new trailer and the system
requirements.  The application period for
the test runs form today through February 16th, while the test itself begins on
February 20th, through the 23rd.  Awesome
right!  Well, temper your enthusiasm, the
test is only for Korean players.  But i’m
sure some of you computer wizzes out there can figure out how to play
right?

Frontier Developments today announced that the alpha testing
for Elite: Dangerous is now underway for those that pledged support during the
Kickstarter campaign.  If you don’t
remember Elite: Dangerous, it may be because the Kickstarter ended just over a
year ago, but let’s not have that spoil the fun.  So what will the first backers be able to
experience in the multiplayer open world combat exploration game?  Free for all melee, co-operative defense of a
crippled Federal battlecruiser, a more sophisticated Pirates and Bounty Hunters
mode and more.  Now, before you blow off
this story because you didn’t pledge on Kickstarter, it’s still possible to
gain access with a purchase on the official website.  It’s only 200 euros.

The latest Warframe patch has hit us right in the face.  The 5.5 million strong community welcome
Update 12: Zephyr Rises, which includes a brand new HUD, additional weapons, a
new game mode and of course, of course, a new Warframe.  The Zephyr Warframe specializes in aerial
attacks, dominating opponents from above.
The new Phage Shotgun, a Jet powered Polearm and a dual UZI are among
the new weapons.  If you still haven’t
checked out Warframe yet, then what the fuck are you waiting for?  This is the type of free to play game you
should be pining for.

League of Legends Bot Lane Synergy – Jinx and Thresh

What’s up Summoners, Ashley and TJ here with another episode of League of Legends, Bot Lane Synergies.  On Today’s episode we take a look at the duo Jinx and Thresh.  Thresh the chain warden is a versatile support champion, who excels in engaging and defensive CC.  The Thresh Prince comes with an array of tools, weapons and lanterns that make him an excellant bot lane partner.  Jinx the Loose Cannon is one of the newest ADC’s in the game.  This hyper-carry excels at extreme amounts of AOE damage, and is a huge lane bully.  She comes equipped with two steroids, her passive and her Q toggle.
While in lane, Jinx and Thresh together make a deadly duo.  Thresh has the tools that allow Jinx to effectively use her kit.  If he manages to land a hook, that’s a free Flame Chompers into Zap combo.  Also keep in mind that Jinx is a low mobility ADC, and Thresh supplies lanterns that help get her out of a sticky situations.  Jinx and Thresh are able to close out a whole lane with Thresh’s ult and jinx chompers.  This gives jinx more time to activate her passive, and kite while the whole enemy team has been zoned.  Thresh can easily keep Jinx safe from any assassin with his hook, flay and lantern making her a tricky target to catch.  Now let’s take a look at this Duo send their enemies in to chaos.

The literal craziest
thing I have watched in a long time is the ReRoll announcement video that came
out today from PIXYUL. They plan to use drones to accurately map out the entire
planet to create an exact 1:1 scale replica in-game. I’m not kidding; this
really means that all areas of the Earth, urban or rural, will be accessible to
play. The first game they plan on using this technology for will be ReRoll,
which is a survival MMO with some interesting survival mechanics and an
in-depth crafting system. You’ll notice at the end of the video that they are
seeking funds to make this insanity reality, so think what you will of that. I
say check the video out anyway, it will blow your mind, I promise.

 

John Smedley, bossman
at Sony Online Entertainment, has been taunting our interests with his vague hints
of a new mystery game. He has been directing his recent tweets toward Star Wars
Galaxies players, telling them that if they are into sandbox elements of play,
they will be into this new game. There is breaking twitter evidence of Smedley
writing that the game will be revealed next month. We’ll see about that. Though
we still don’t have a name, we do know that it will not be set in a
science-fiction setting…..There are rumors that it may be a post-apocalyptic
theme, which means, say it with me, zombies.

 

Phosphor Games Studio
has announced today the full info on the latest patch to their survival MMO
Nether. Previous patches have been measly compared to this one. They’ve built
on their newly created subway system to include a tribes feature, which will
give them the option of joining 1 of 16 tribes. This includes more offensive
and defensive abilities, more loot drops, and that extra nice extra inventory
space. They’ve also made it so you can scavenge and craft, giving you the
ability to make whatever weapon want. If you play this game already though, you
may be bummed to find that they had to do an entire character wipe to balance
these new features. Bummer.
